Hottub, hot water, hot hot hot!!!

Saunas and spas have long and interesting histories, and seem to occur in most every culture and in every geography on the planet, in one form or another.  People have known about the benefits of hot water on the body for millennia, and when you have your own hot tub, you are entering into this tradition.  Our hot tubs are constructed with state of the art technology, with the finest materials and excellent workmanship.  They are also constructed so that they are easy to maintain, making it easier for you to use for yourself, your family, and your friends.  You may soon discover that you have a lot more friends, people who suddenly appear out of the woodwork and start asking you for invitations to come and spend more time with you.

The social element of people soaking together is also an idea that is very old.  There is something very gratifying about being in the same water with people, as it speaks to a primordial need to be connected in some elemental way.  As one of the four elements, water is always at the source of all things, and in many views of the universe, including our own scientific age, is the source of life here.  It certainly sustains it, and it keeps us returning to it. We are naturally drawn to it, of course, being mostly water ourselves.  The art of bathing is a very old idea, and one can find origins of this on all the continents.

This might seem to be entirely logical, when you consider that hot springs could arguably be the idea that inspired hot tubs, and these occur all over the world.  There are some fascinating customs in Africa where sweat baths are used to ritually purify patients who were suffering from physical or spiritual illnesses.  Patients are placed in huts where herbs are placed on burning embers to smoke the sickness out.  These practices are still very common throughout the world, and used in almost all religions that use smoke in one form or another.  Heated water, then, is probably much healthier, although it may not be as effective against curses or hauntings.
