There’s a fast emerging new tradition for the Jewish holiday Passover . Miami hotels are creating a draw from the Jewish community as thousands of Jews from New York to Israel will be in South Florida this week to celebrate Passover a way their grandparents probably never imagined. This isn’t just about hotels tacking a name onto a promotion, many Miami hotels are offering full kosher services to the point of removing candies and sodas that contain non-kosher corn syrup and drinks such as vodka and whiskey made from fermented grains from the mini bars in the rooms. Hotels prior to this holiday even hired rabbis to go over the grounds making sure the entire hotel is grain free for the holiday.

A holy day and festival commemorating the biblical event of Hebrews’ escape from enslavement in Egypt. It’s said that upon the pharaoh declaring them free they left so quickly they didn’t have time for the bread to rise, because of this the tradition of forbidding chametz, any grain product that under goes fermentation. Depending on the personal belief system this may include substances that can cause fermentation like corn syrup or yeast. Thus, bagels, waffles and pancakes made with baking soda and matzo meal are considered permissible alternatives since in certain Sephardic or Ashkenazic interpretations of Jewish Law, chametz does not include baking soda, baking powder or like products as it leavens without fermentation. Observant Jews typically spend the weeks before Passover in a fit of thorough housecleaning, to remove every morsel of chametz from every part of the home. Which is why a stay at a hotel where this process has already been seen to must be so appealing.

At the Eden Roc in Miami Beach , two rabbis will lead four daily prayer services in two ballrooms that have been converted into synagogues for the holiday; one for Ashkenazi Jews, the other for Sephardic. Some Miami families are even cashing in on this new market by renting out their homes for Passover after thoroughly cleaning them to Kosher standards.

As I entered her hotel room, I immediately introduced myself to my new client. I told her that I’m excited to be alive at this wonderful time on the Earth. I’m devoted to living and walking a sacred and spiritual life which is deeply connected to Mother Earth. I’m based in love and compassion for not only myself but for all sentient beings. I sat my client down an began to just feel her presence. She was nervous, so I continued with my introduction. I told her that I’m devoted to living from my heart and that being a sacred vessel for the love of the Divine Feminine to flow through and the light of the Divine Masculine to shine forth. I’m a vessel of love, beauty, compassion, truth, grace and wisdom.

I could feel her beginning to open up to me. I could tell from just that little bit of an open that she had just recently been traumatized. I continued with my introduction, I believe that love is the greatest healing elixir around and that here on Earth, it’s time to move beyond all separation and division and to come together as one people, one unity of consciousness. We are here to honor and respect each other, not to cause harm on one another. Immediately I could feel her tense back up.

I advised her that she must forgive and harmful actions that were put upon her. True forgiveness is the only way the body, mind and spirit can heal and heal completely. She asked me how I knew she had a harmful action done to her. I told her that that’s the only reason someone shuts down and turns off for society. I told her it was obvious that she had compressed all of what she is and stopped the loving energies to shine forth from her heart. I advised her to never shut off the heart. Always keep it open, this way the Universe can give her the energy required for her spirit to become whole again. If one closes the heart, the Universe can not do it’s work. To give us what we need to always get in the flow of love for all sentient beings without exception.

When I left her Melbourne luxury hotel room after spending the entire day with her, I knew she was well on her way to finding her joy again and well on her way to forgiving.
